The layout of the city remains unchanged to this day. The castle town was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2015. The castle town contains samurai residences, the homes of wealthy merchants, and machiya townhouses. Enjoy walking through this well-preserved castle town with the feel of an outdoor museum.
